All Done And Dusted :)

Well the end of my time as a student has finally arrived. I have handed in my last piece of work and we have had our Degree show, which was a great success. We had a great attendance and received a lot of great comments about the show and work that was on display :)... Now I can concentrate on Rabbit Heart.

Success

I have done what I never imagined I would be able to do.

I opened 3ds MAX at the weekend and started to rig a character (add a skeleton to a model for animation purposes)

I found the interface to be a real pain, every thing is so hard to find and the way you control the bones is quite alien to me, having only used Blenders rigs before. I can see the potential that MAX has but wish they would do something about the user interface, it's just not user friendly enough and causes real problems to a smooth fast working process.

Hello and Welcome

Growing up, I played video games. Well I didn't just play them, I obsessed over them... a lot. It didn't matter if I was playing Asteroids on my ATARI 2600 or Manic Miner on the Commadore 64, for me it wasn't about completing the game as soon as I could, it was more about learning what made it tick.

When the opportunity arose to attend an art school dedicated games design, I jumped at it. In my spare time I self-taught myself how to do design, modeling, texturing and animation to learn how to make assets for games.

Most recently I have been producing elements for a horror game for my final major project at university. For this year long project I decided to undertake a great amount of self-learning. I have taken it upon myself to learn how to model in 3DS MAX, use the UNITY game development software to build the project and code in JavaScript as this is one of UNITYS powerful scripting languages. During my time at university I have acquired tremendous insight into product cycles, as well as team building and leadership skills.
